And there will be a large green and gold presence on the day.
Not only will CYMS host the day, but the club has five sides in action in the third versus fourth elimination games, kicking off with the under 10s from 9am.
CYMS junior secretary Mandy Moore said the day promised to be a grand one for the club.
“It’s been quite a successful year for us,” Moore said.
“We’ve got extremely strong numbers ... and to have all bar one of our teams in the finals is great for the continued growth of the club.”
CYMS juniors also benefit from a strong alliance with its senior club.
Green and gold players from the CYMS premier league side coach junior teams, with Cam Jones looking after the under 14s and both Riley Law and Sam Hill coaching the club’s under 15s side.
Today, the CYMS under 10s will tackle the Lithgow Storm, the under 11s play Mudgee, the under 12s meet Bloomfield, the under 14s tackle Bathurst Panthers and the CYMS under 16s also face the men in black juniors, all elimination games.
The CYMS under 15s are through to the major semi-final, to be played in Mudgee next weekend.
Moore said her junior club’s standing amongst the CYMS family was something special for all of those who bleed green and gold.
“We’ve even got the league tag girls managing the gate for us,” she said of today’s semi-final action.
“The Old Boys will be there, they’ve been fantastic for us and really gotten on board with the juniors. The combination of senior and junior clubs is great.”
The Group 10 Junior League minor semi finals begin at Wade Park from 9am on Saturday.
The under 16s will kick-off at 3pm.
