AN 18-year-old man who allegedly forced his way into a house in Ellard Street, assaulting four occupants, has been released from custody on strict conditional bail.

Te Taiaroa Snowden allegedly broke into the home around 11.45am on Sunday, brandishing a baseball bat, and assaulted the two male and two female occupants of the house.
In Orange Local Court on Monday the magistrate, Bruce Williams, granted bail on the condition the accused reported to police every day.
He was ordered to surrender his passport.
The accused has also been ordered not to leave his residence without the supervision of adults appointed by the court.
He has been charged with four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was able to post $500 surety to the court to assist with his bail application.
The accused will return to court in October.
