Member for Orange Andrew Gee said the episode, which was put together in conjunction with Destination NSW, will prompt people throughout NSW to visit to the region.
This week's episode will highlight four NSW locations in the lead up to the school holidays, and focus on Orange eateries Racine restaurant and Bissy’s Cafe.
“Orange is known for its fantastic food and wine, and families are well catered for, so this episode of Sydney Weekender will highlight our wonderful food and wine experiences in the lead-up to the spring school holidays,” Mr Gee said.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Major Events Andrew Stoner said school holidays represented an important opportunity for the NSW tourism industry.
“In the year ended March 2014, holiday or leisure was the number one reason domestic travellers visited NSW, and most domestic visitors came from regional NSW and Sydney,” Mr Stoner said.
“It is important we continue to promote the variety of destinations and experiences on offer across NSW to help grow visitation, and Sydney Weekender is an ideal program through which to do this.”
