P&C secretary Mandy Dening hoped the book would raise about $1000 towards the kitchen, which the school needs desperately.
“Sales have been really good so far, I’m quietly confident we can reach our target,” she said.
Mullion Munchies is a 99-page cookbook that includes more than 80 recipes provided by the school’s students, teachers and Mullion Creek community members.
“The children’s homework was to go home and get three of their favourite recipes for the cookbook,” Mrs Dening said.
“They absolutely loved it. Not only did they get the recipes, a lot of the children made their favourite recipes and took some lovely pictures of their finished products.”
Mrs Dening said each student at the school then prepared their very own unique cover, which they proudly took home to their parents.
Featured in the cookbook is a lot of snack foods, savoury favourites, pastries, slices and plenty for the sweet tooth.
Mullion Munchies is on sale now at Bills Beans in Orange, Yates Baker McClean and the Agrestic Grocer.
