Their 2014 campaign started in the best of ways with a knockout win under the guidance of captain-coach Adam Belbin.
Played on their home ground, the Warriors went through the carnival undefeated, culminating in a dominant 34-0 win over Kandos in the final.
"One of the most pleasing aspects of the knockout was our defence," Belbin said after the win.
"In our three games, we did not concede a point.
The Warriors defeated Lithgow Bears 18-0 and, in what was a tough match, edged out Blackheath 2-0 to go into the final.
"It was a good win against Blackheath who have dropped back from Group 10 and have a number of very good players," Belbin said.
"There are a lot of new faces in our side this year and it will take time to gel together.
"We are on track to do this and the knockout win was a bonus for the boys and the way they have been training."
Standouts during the tournament were Waaka Hodge, Nathan Belbin, Aaron and Ben Picman, Aaron Cooper, Adam Belbin, Wes Monds and Brad Belbin.
The Centennial Coal Cup season kicks off this Saturday.
