AMELIA and James top a increasingly unorthodox list of baby names proving very popular in Orange over the last 12 months.
Taken from the Central Western Daily’s Hello World, James edged out Isaac, William, Thomas and George in the boys’ stakes while Amelia and Annabelle proved popular for baby girls, followed closely by Isabella, Isabelle and Lara.
Joint favourties in 2012, Lachlan and Noah both missed out on a top 10 berth in 2013.
Likewise, Lilly and Jessica also missed the cut over the last 12 months in the race to be the girls’ most popular selection.
Either way, they’re traditional names most people are familiar with.
The last 12 months, however, dished up some very original works.
Broqq and Kayos stood out as some of the unique names chosen in 2013 while Islay, Letty and Miyleigh headlined a throng of baby girls’ names new to the city’s maternity wards.
