Cyclist hit by car
A FEMALE cyclist was badly injured when she was hit by a car while riding on Huntley Road on Sunday.
The accident happened at around 11.15am when the 51-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle travelling south down Huntley Road.
The woman, who is believed to have been thrown several metres from her bike, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to Orange hospital.
She was treated for a number of injuries including two broken vertebrae and was in a stable condition yesterday afternoon.
The 70-year-old female driver declined medical treatment.
Police have interviewed a witness and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
