Around 4pm, police were alerted to the single vehicle crash after a Ford Falcon ran off The Escort Way, about 7km from Eugowra.
The single occupant of the vehicle, a 68-year-old woman, was found deceased at the scene.
Officers from Canobolas Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and would like to speak to anyone with information.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or the events leading up to it is asked to contact Orange Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
