Rounding up last Saturday and Sunday, Ryan, on board Johnny Depp, placed first in the Pryde’s Easifeed Intermediate Freestyle CDI3 event, impressing the judges enough to earn a score of 69.70 per cent and win the international event.
Ryan’s combination with Johnny Depp was a class above the competition.
His combination with Regardez Moi proved deadly.
Along with the ThinLine Australia Grand Prix CDI3 win on day two of the dressage event, Ryan and Regardez Moi teamed up again on day three to take home the Jilli Cobcroft Grand Prix Freestyle CDI3 crown with a score of 72.33 per cent.
The pair edged out Sheridyn Ashwood and Prestige VDL with 68.90 per cent and the third placed Megan Bryant on Northern Xanthus III, scoring 68.53.
Ryan’s effort on the 16-year-old Regardez Moi in taking out the Grand Prix Freestyle event was one of the stand-out performances of the four-day dressage tournament at Orange’s Bradgate Park.
Another one of the event’s standout performances came from a relative new comer, with Mark Arthur and Kooinda Saint, producing a 68.40 per cent just behind Sheridyn Ashwood on Prestige VDL (68.90) and Kerry Mack on Mayfield Pzazz (68.53).
