Tomorrow from 9am to noon the staff are offering a driveway service where they will fill your car up for a gold coin donation.
Woolworths Petrol spokesperson Leanne Copping said the team felt they needed to chip in.
“People there have lost everything and they don’t want bedding and things, they need money so we thought we’d do this,” she said.
“Coonabarabran is not far away and we get customers coming through.”
Employees had attempted to get the event off the ground last week but only got approval yesterday.
Ms Copping urged people to drop in and dig through the glove box so that others might be able to use the money to feed starving stock, buy bedding for the homeless and replace some comforts destroyed in the fire.
The fire tore through the Warrumbungle National Park and destroyed more than 50 properties.
