Each year he decorates his parent’s house with a gorgeous display of Christmas lights and this year he took out the top prize in the Central Western Daily‘s Christmas lights competition.
Mr Lancaster scored a $250 Bunnings Warehouse voucher thanks to receiving the most reader votes for his display.
“I try and make it different each year and each year add new lights,” he said.
Mr Lancaster said he was surprised to find out he had won and thankful the five weeks he had spent erecting the display had paid off.
“The five weeks is worth it when you’ve got it lit up and the families all come around and see it,” he said.
New to his display this year were two big blow-up Santa Clauses and a solar Christmas tree that stood atop the family home.
His huge light display at 119 Phillip Street has now been pulled down but Mr Lancaster said it attracted a huge number of motorists and passers-by in the lead-up to Christmas.
“It was really busy, especially on Christmas Eve,” he said.
The dedicated fan of the festive season said he had all the home’s lights lit up from the last week of November until New Year’s Day.
Mr Lancaster said he wasn’t sure what he would spend his voucher on but it would be “something good”.
The $50 Bunnings voucher simply for voting for your favourite Christmas lights display was won by Abby Everett.
