The annual Challenge brings together Country and City boys’ and girls’ teams in the under 13s, under 15s and under 17s age divisions.
The 2013 event will be held in Tamworth from March 2-3.
Bailey Ferguson was selected in the under 13 boys’ Country side.
Llara Milne has been picked in the under 13 girls’ team.
Chloe Barrett is the sole Orange representative in the under 15 girls’ side.
Orange will have two representatives in the under 17 girls’ team with Rachel Divall and Madie Smith both earning selection.
Divall and Smith have contested the Challenge before but Ferguson, Barrett and Milne will be making their debuts.
In the last three years, Country has dominated the Challenge.
In 2012, at Narellan, Country was the overall Challenge winner as well as coming out on top overall in the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
Smith and Divall were part of the under 17 girls’ side that enjoyed 1-0 and 5-0 wins over their City rivals.
In the 5-0 victory, Divall converted two penalty corners for Country.
Orange had a bigger representation at the 2011 Challenge in Lithgow with Country winning overall again.
Smith and Divall were part of the under 15 girls’ side that won 2-0 and 9-2 against City.
Nat Parmeter and Kate Butcherine were in the under 18 girls’ team that lost 3-1 before hitting back with a 5-3 victory.
Nick Hill and Nick Milne were in the under 18 boys’ side that enjoyed 8-1 and 6-1 wins over City.
