Mr Morgan, 33, the father of three young children, was tragically killed in a crash east of Bathurst on Saturday.
His elder brother Steve, 38, remains in Westmead Hospital, his condition having been upgraded from critical to stable.
Football fans in the central west have been so touched by the Morgan family’s situation fundraising has already begun to provide support.
Trent and Steve Morgan played league with a number of clubs in the area, and one of the fundraising accounts set up is by the Facebook group Bush Footy Yarns, which began communicating on social media late Saturday night when news of the crash began to spread through the region.
Orange Hawks Rugby League Club president John Hill said yesterday local football clubs who were involved with the Morgan brothers have organised for a trust fund to be set up at the Orange Credit Union.
“So many people just want to help both Trent and Steven’s families,” Mr Hill said.
Mr Hill said the clubs were coming together next Monday night to plan a strategy for intensive fundraising for the Morgan family over the coming weeks.
“Trent has left behind Sam and their three little ones and Steve has children too, and we just want to do all we can to help make things a littler easier for them,” Mr Hill said.
“The football community will certainly appreciate donations and we are planning to all get together for some big fundraisers.”
Mr Hill said the fundraising committee recognised Steve would not earn an income while he was recovering and the fundraising would help with expenses.
“It is hard when you run your own business the way Steve has his landscaping business and he’s got a long road ahead for recovery,” he said.

Police investigations into the crash, which also killed three elderly Kelso residents when their vehicle crossed to the wrong side of the road, are continuing.
As a mark of respect on Tuesday night the Bathurst Greyhound Racing Club held a minute’s silence.
The Morgan brothers, who were involved with greyhound racing, were towing a trailer with two dogs when the crash occurred at Glanmire.
Trent Morgan’s funeral will be held at 1pm on Friday at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on the corner of Anson and Byng streets.
