Ken dreams of a truckload of cash

KEN Robertson says he will throw a big party for all his friends and family if he wins tonight’s Oz Lotto draw of $50 million.

Mr Robertson said he wouldn’t mind buying a new house and a much bigger boat as well.

“After all that I’d probably do the sensible thing and maybe invest some as well,” he said.

News Xpress owner Paul Blunden said the big draw has brought all sorts of people out of the woodwork.

“This kind of draw brings out a lot of first timers,’ he said.

“They all dream of winning and the things they’ll buy if they do.”

Mr Blunden said the chances of winning the big prize are about 65 million to one, but, despite the odds, business is thriving.

“We are always much busier when this size of prize comes up,” he said.

“Business increases quite dramatically.”

It costs $1.25 to enter the draw with one line, however, most people have been purchasing a mega pick, which will set customers back $27.85.

It usually takes six to seven weeks for the Oz Lotto draw to reach $50 million.

The draw may get to $70 million in the next couple of days if the big prize doesn’t go off.
