The Orange High School class of 1961 miss the old school days so much they hold a reunion every two years.
Former students Des Brady and Jenny Vogler said around 30 students from their class travel great distances across the state to have a drink and reminisce about skirt lengths, home economics and the Astley Cup.
Mr Brady said about 10 years ago the group got together and had so much fun they decided to make it a regular event.
He said more people tagged along every year.
The group has reunited in Ulladulla, Port Stevens, Sawtell and Katoomba.
“We all take it in turns to meet up in somebody else’s current town,” he said.
“We had one in Dubbo last year but we couldn’t miss the 100-year anniversary.”
More than 40 members of the class of 1961 reunited at a dinner on Friday night.
Mrs Vogler (nee Carr) said she hoped more students would join their regular reunions.
“I would love to see some of the old familiar faces join with us,” she said.
Mr Brady and Mrs Vogler said the school hadn’t changed much, however, Mr Brady said he thought the girls’ long skirts were a bit excessive.
