THE Orange show is fast approaching and the competition is heating up for the Miss Orange Showgirl title.
Title hopeful Amber Bryant is keen to show the four judge panel that she is the next regional ambassador. While she is extremely nervous, Amber hopes the competition will help her gain confidence and develop life skills.
“I love meeting new people and am passionate about regional issues,” she said.
“I think the competition will help me push myself out of my comfort zone.”
Unlike pageants, the Miss Orange Showgirl competition is not about beauty, rather girls are judged on personality, confidence, rural knowledge, life goals and ambition.
Amber is passionate about photography and loves taking photos of rural scenes.
“There is something beautiful in everything,” she said.
Amber said she loves being outdoors and loves keeping fit. Her favourite activities include tennis, swimming and running.
“I love everything about being outdoors,” she said.
The competition is being judged on Saturday May 5.
