The Black Dog truck made famous in the Patrick Swayze movie of the same name has been bought by an Australian collector who stopped off in the Central West in transit to his Queensland home.
The Black Dog is the latest addition for avid collector David Newton who collects army tanks and movie cars.
"I'm a truck driver by trade and I just love my heavy equipment," Mr Newton said.
"It's a case of boys and their toys, it just happens to be a big toy."
Mr Newton said the piece of movie memorabilia was priceless.
"It's still got the bullet marks from the movie and you can see where the brackets were hung to attach the cameras during filming," he said.
Although best known for its role in the 1998 film, the truck has also been featured in music clips including that of American country crooner Randy Travis.
And the Tinseltown truck is likely to continue its film career.
Mr Newton supplies many of his machines to the movie industry.
"So you just might see her turn up in another movie down the track," he said.
