SWIMMING
ORANGE will be well represented at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association carnival next month.
Twelve students from three Orange schools are counting the days to the carnival at Homebush.
Orange Public School has the biggest representation with eight students going while Calare and Canobolas have two qualifiers each.
Orange Public School's Mitchell Stone is swimming at the state carnival for the first time but has a full program of seven events.
One of Stone's events is the senior boys' relay in which he will combine with Nick Lukins, Chris Ryan and Matthew Haege.
The four boys set a new record for the event at the district carnival and are confident of being competitive at state level as well.
Plenty of swimmers outside Orange will also compete at state level including Canowindra's Mathew Beaton, Millthorpe's Caleb Timbs, Molong's Will Andrews and Cumnock's Brittany Coles, Christopher Driver, Stephanie Dwyer and Ebony Press.
The NSW carnival will be held at Homebush on April 11 and 12.
