ORANGE riders will go to the fifth round of the Amcross Series in Maclean this weekend full of confidence after strong results at the state titles last weekend.

Four riders from the Canobolas Motorcycle Club competed in the final round of the state titles in Nowra.

Chase Bennett, riding in the 9-12 years 85cc class, finished in fourth place after the three rounds and Daniel Hartin, in the 13-16 years 250 cc four stroke class, finished fifth in the state.

Hartin over came a near tragic accident to make the top five in the state.

The 15-year-old was in third place on the first lap of the final race, before sliding out on a corner with another rider crashing into him and riding over his neck and head.

Hartin got back onto his bike and from 28th position and 300 metres behind he made his way to 12th place.

Hartin, riding a Morris KXF 250, began the round running sixth and was looking for some solid results to cement his position before the accident occurred.

Bennett, riding a KTM 85, was in fourth place coming into the third round and some good results led him to fourth position in the state.

Aron Griffith and Stuart Bennett, in the 15 years 125 cc, Ben Burke in the 250 cc four stroke 13-16 years and Brodie Hartin in the 12-14 years 85 cc class, also competed at the titles.

The first round was held in Sydney, with the second held in Condoblin.

The two Hartin brothers will head to the national titles in October.
