AN ecumenical service at Borenore’s Christ Church was held on Sunday and attracted more than 30 worshippers.

Visiting Catholic and Presbyterian denominational leaders and Father Frank Hetherington from Holy Trinity, spoke to the congregation about restoration of faith.
“Peter encountered Jesus and experienced restoration,” Father Hetherington said.
The church, licencsd for ‘divine worship’ by Bishop of Bathurst Samuel Marsden, on November 18, 1878, was full.
Father Greg Kennedy, the Reverend William Stewart and the Reverend Margaret Finlay also spoke to the congregation.
Ecumenical services have been conducted at Christ Church, Borenore every fifth Sunday since last year.
Each service donates the collection to a charity and yesterday St Vincent De Paul benefited.
Anglican Church services are conducted at Christ Church, Borenore twice a month.
The service times are changing to Sunday afternoons.
