The Club will provide $3000 as a naming rights sponsor of the upcoming charity golf challenge at Duntryleague Golf Club on February 1.
In its 9th year, the golf day aims to raise funds for the installation of air-conditioning at the Wangarang Industries workshop on Forest Road, that is projected to cost between $20,00 and $30,000.
There are over 90 workers in the shed at any one time, assisting with jobs such as mailing and packing, assembly and wine re-labelling.
Wangarang Industries’ CEO Kevin McGuire said when they built the shed they never envisaged it would need cooling.
“At the moment, there are fans to circulate the heat in winter, but we’re now looking towards investing in a system to cool in summer as the demand grows for our services,” he said.
