GRAIN harvest trucks will be exempt from a heavy vehicle detour around Manildra while major rail crossing work is undertaken next week.
Detours will be in place for light vehicles and trucks when an upgrade to the Meranburn crossing on Henry Parkes Way is performed from November 5-12 and 24-26.
While cars and other light vehicles will be diverted around local streets, trucks will be detoured away from the town via Eugowra.
Cabonne mayor Ian Gosper said following talks with the operators of the Manildra flour and canola mills, grain trucks would be allowed to use the detour between 7am and 6pm.
Bus services, including school buses, will use the light vehicle route.
