It’d take a brave person to predict the result of this weekend’s Orange District Cricket Association Centenary Cup decider between minor premiers Kinross and CYMS, although the students must be considered favorites.

While the two sides have been locked in as grand final opponents for some time – Orange City, the only other side in the competition, never really challenged for a spot – the two blues have won four of their six encounters throughout 2017-18.
But, on the flipside, Kinross also lost to the Warriors in last weekend’s final round, one of just three defeats it suffered all season.
That rids the side of any momentum leading in, although CYMS’ last start was actually a loss to the two blues as well.
Danger man Steve Wotton will lead the charge with the bat for CYMS, as he finished top of the table with 246 runs at 35, while Hugh Rassmussen averaged 49 with the bad in Centenary from his five starts.
Jack Daintith has 16 wickets for CYMS, while Nelson Sheppard and George Cumming have 14 and 10 wickets respectively for Kinross.
The one-day Centenary Cup final kicks off at 1.30 on Saturday at Kinross Main Oval.
