That’s the goal for Western’s Laurie Daley Cup side heading into Saturday’s final round of the 2018 under 18s country championship.
Paul McDonald’s Rams have largely been luckless throughout this season’s championship defence and as a result even a win in the final round against the Greater Southern Region Wests Tigers won’t be enough to propel Western into the finals.
Victory, though, will ensure the Rams end 2018 on a positive note and that’s important for McDonald and his team, one that’s worked hard in the lead-up and throughout the Daley Cup.
A lot of McDonald’s players are bottom age under 18s representatives and will be eligible for the Daley Cup again in 2019.
Kick-off against the last-placed southern pool outfit, GSR Wests Tigers, is at 2.40pm at Kirkham Park, Camden.
Western is without gun fullback Benji Glasheen after the rangy No.1 picked up a head knock in the tough loss to the finals bound Monaro Colts last weekend.
Forbes rake Campbell Woolnough earns his first start in the championship after a successful comeback from injury last weekend.
