Michael Lesley Pangas, 32, of Orana Street pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited drug and hindering police during an incident early on December 3.
On the evening of December 2, police said Pangas attended the Victoria Hotel after taking the two pills and consumed several drinks.
He then approached a fellow patron, drank his drink and asked him if he wanted to buy drugs.
When police were called, Pangas was searched and four pills were found, however Pangas struggled and stomped on the bag.
Solicitor Joshua Pigott said his client could not recall much of the incident, but took responsibility.
Magistrate Jacqueline Trad said there was a “deliberateness” in his conduct.
