Over 60 vintage cars and motorcycles descended on Spring Hill’s Railway Hotel on Sunday as part of a community event to raise funds to upgrade the community recreation grounds.
Organiser Barry Jamieson said all they wanted to do was “get the village together”.
“We want to promote that Spring Hill is not a sleepy little hollow and there’s stuff happening,” he said.
“We also want to get the rec grounds up and running.”
The ground has been in use over summer as a cricket field for the reformed Wood Ducks, and the community want to add toilets and showers as well as other amenities.
“It’s been in the planning for about 2 months … we’re trying to get the community going,” he said.
