An 18-year-old woman was struck by a green Mazda at about 12.50 on Friday, with police and ambulance responding to the incident on the intersection of Favell Road and the Mitchell Highway.
The pedestrian was taken to Orange Health Service, but according to Canobolas Local Area Command Inspector Linda Bradbury said the pedestrian didn’t have any obvious serious injuries.
“We are conducting an investigation but we at the early stages it appears the driver is not at fault,” she said.
The road was closed in both directions immediately after the incident, with traffic diverted through Spring Hill.
The road was reopened just after 1.40pm as the pedestrian was transferred to Orange Health Service.
