The open day is targeted at young people looking to enter the aviation industry in any capacity – working on the ground, in a crew or in the cockpit.
The Aero Club will host the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association – who are bringing up flight simulators – and employers like REX and Virgin, alongside engineering and other aircraft employers in areas such as working in flight control towers, aviation refuelling and baggage work.
There will also be attendances from several aviation clubs from Tasmania to Queensland, with clubs in Coonabarabran and Wagga Wagga bringing planes to the open day.
The Open Day runs from 10am to 2pm at the Aero Club next to the airport.
