But the selflessness of our business owners and managers often goes unnoticed.
That certainly wasn’t the case on Tuesday evening, when Pizza Capers manager Sam Livingstone decided to “give a little back to the community”.
Posting on the ‘Spread The Word In Orange’ Facebook page, Mr Livingstone explained that the restaurant had “a few leftover small, basic pizzas from an event earlier” which they wanted to give away to “people that are genuinely doing it tough”.
“If you don’t have dinner tonight come to the shop and see one of us and we will give you one of these completely free of charge,” the post read, while also explaining that the “small, family-run business” had a limited supply of free pizzas.
Unsurprisingly – and deservedly – the post attracted a wave of attention, with more than 500 people signalling their support.
We’ll add ours here – well done, Sam, and well done Pizza Capers.
