A 16-year-old girl was charged with common assault, being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence and breaching an apprehended violence order.
Police say the girl threw a knife at a 40-year-old man and another at a 41-year-old woman and made threats towards the man in a domestic violence-related incident.
The girl was issued with a court attendance notice and will appear before Orange Children’s Court on Monday.
In an unrelated matter, a man will appear in court later this month on charges related to a fight in Summer Street.
A 20-year-old man was charged with resisting/hindering police in the execution of duty and assaulting police in the execution of duty on Saturday.
Police say the man was involved in an altercation on Summer Street when he was stopped by police.
It is alleged police apprehended the man in order to prevent a further altercation occurring and attempted to take the man to his home when he assaulted police and attempted to run away.
He was issued with a notice to attend court and will appear before Orange Local Court on Monday, March 26.
In other recent police matters in the Orange area:
- A 31-year-old man was charged on Friday with breaching an apprehended violence order. Police say the man continually harassed a person named on an enforceable Apprehended Domestic Violence Order. He was issued with a court attendance notice and appeared before Orange Local Court on Monday.
- A 23-year-old woman was arrested on Friday in relation to an outstanding warrant. The warrant relates to a domestic violence matter.
- A 23-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in relation to an outstanding warrant. The warrant relates to domestic violence offences.
- A 41-year-old man was charged on Sunday with breaching an apprehended violence order and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Police say the man assaulted a 62-year-old man named in an enforceable Apprehended Domestic Violence Order. He was issued with a notice to attend Orange Local Court, where he appeared on Monday.
- A 47-year-old man was charged on Sunday with breaching an apprehended violence order. Police say the man attended a location while intoxicated and was prohibited from doing so by an enforceable Apprehended Domestic Violence Order. He appeared in Orange Local Court on Monday.
- A 19-year-old woman was charged on Sunday with common assault. Police say the woman assaulted a 21-year-old man in a domestic violence-related incident. The woman was issued with a notice to attend Orange Local Court on Thursday, March 29.
- A break and enter occurred on Banksia Street between 5pm and 8.30pm on Sunday. Entry was gained via a rear door and nothing appears to have been taken.
- A vehicle was broken into on Casey Street between 5pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday. A number of tools were taken from a tool box on the rear of the vehicle including nail guns, a router, a cordless tool kit and an air compressor attachment.
- A bicycle was stolen from Pitta Pitta Place between 1am and 2am on Saturday. A ladies bicycle was taken from the front yard of the location.
- A theft occurred at a religious building on Summer Street between 7.30am and 10.30am on Sunday. A sum of money was taken from the location.
- A vehicle was broken into on Benview Avenue between 6pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday. 20 footballs were taken from the vehicle.
