Rebecca Lee Murray, 32, of Belgravia Road, Molong, did not appear in Orange Local Court for sentencing.
In Murray’s absence, magistrate David Day gave her a $660 fine and her driver’s licence was disqualified for six months.
Murray was charged with driving with an illicit drug present in her system and the penalty was more severe because it was not her first offence of that type.
According to police facts, police stopped her when she was travelling along Betts Street, Molong, in a silver Holden Commodore at 11.35am on September 21.
During a drug test, Murray tested positive to cannabis and was arrested and taken to Molong Police Station for further analysis.
Murray had been a provisional driver and had her green p-plates at the time of the September driving offence.
