Those days appeared to be over last Sunday when an angry bird attacked not one but two defenseless children trying to undertake harmless kayaking activities.
In the first case the child was so badly shaken that she required some sit down time and a big hug from mum.
In both circumstances the incident resulted in tears for the toddlers, with the seemingly remorseless goose strutting away unphased.
It is currently too early to tell whether this was a targeted attack or a crime of circumstance.
Parents and witnesses did all they could to control both their rage and amusement.
