St Mary’s student leadership team – made up of school captains and vice-captains, mission leaders, environmental leaders and house captains – were given the same opportunity, when the ultra engaging Mr Coutis visited their school last week.
Mr Coutis was born with malformed legs that have never been functional.
One month before his 18th birthday Mr Coutis chose to have his legs removed, a decision he heralds as the second best of his life – following the decision to marry Mrs Coutis; Leanne.

“I’m a fortunate guy,” Mr Coutis said.
