Police attached to the Canobolas Local Area Command from Cowra and Orange attended a Waddell Street residence after receiving multiple calls regarding the woman’s behaviour about 9.50am.
The woman barricaded herself in the home and allegedly armed herself with a knife.
Police blocked the street from the Waddell Street home to the intersection with Clyburn Street.
Police entered the building about 12.15pm and arrested the woman.
She was taken to Orange hospital for assessment.
