The event will be hosted at Orange Ex-Services’ Club and awards will be presented for customer service and excellence in various sectors, through to entrepreneurial achievement and the business of the year.
Orange Business Chamber president Ash Brown said planning was coming together after six months of hard work.
“We’re really excited,” he said.
Mr Brown said judging was conducted differently this year, with the executive officer being the judges’ sole point of contact with the chamber.
“It’s the first time none of the board have known who the winners were,” he said.
“There’s been some past belief that the board had a hand in the judging, but we don’t this year, we’re trying to keep it as transparent as possible.
“It will be a bit like the Logies where the envelope is opened and we’re all waiting to hear.”
While the event will be black tie as usual, the formal seating arrangements of past years will be removed in favour of bar and lounge-style seating and grazing tables.
Mr Brown also said the awards would return to a November date for the 2018 awards to avoid a clash between the Christmas rush and judging.
