Capped Cakes owner Nadia Murray from Cumnock said she started attending the markets to spread her name and business.
Since starting towards the end of last year she said she has been selling out at each market and started taking pre-orders.
Allandale Pastured Free Range Eggs at Mandurama owned by Leisa Newnham and John Borchard are currently on trial and said they started attending the market so they could promote their eggs.
Market manager Holly Manning said the new pop up market, held on the fourth Sunday of the month has made it easier to welcome new stalls.
She said the start of a new year has also spurred more stalls to apply and it was a good way for new businesses to get their name out.
“We have some more [applications] coming through on Wednesday night at the committee meeting,” Mrs Manning said.
She said the proposed stalls include more breakfast options.
“They won’t all get through but [those that don’t] will go on a waiting list,” Mrs Manning said.
“The challenge is to have a broad range of things, we try and have a maximum of two to three of one category.”
Mrs Manning said there are about 90 stalls on the market’s list but they only allow a maximum of 60 stalls per market because people attend with a limited amount of cash.
The new stalls currently included Benny’s Bagels, Cakes and Hart, Curra Creek Figs and Fine Foods, Cemily Stonestreet Cakes, Grilla Pit BBQ, Helen’s Gormet Ice Cream, Salami Man, Village Bakehouse, Martelli Orchard which is on trial, Bilby Blooms, Bianca’s Kitchen, Hungry Bee and Wild Peony.
The next Orange Farmers Market will be on Sunday, February 25.
