A report will be prepared for the coroner after a man drowned in the Macquarie River near Dubbo at the weekend.

About 8pm on Saturday 20-year-old Jake Walton was located face down in the Macquarie River near Geurie.
Police have been told Mr Walton had earlier been seen to dive into the river.
Friends commenced CPR on Mr Walton until NSW Ambulance Paramedics arrived at the scene, however he could not be revived.
Officers from Orana Mid Western District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
An integral member of the region’s agriculture industry through his work with the family business Walton Rural Supplies, Jake was also prominent in rugby union and crossfit circles.
He leaves behind a heartbroken family consisting of parents Dean and Annette and sister Amy, as well as a shattered group of friends, young and old.
“It would have been his 21st in three weeks,” Dean Walton said on Monday.
