Fire and Rescue NSW station officer Matt Jeffery had planned the day in conjunction with local police and ambulance services.
He said he was happy to have so many people visit.
“We thought the hot weather might knock a few numbers down but they’ve done really well, a lot of young kids so it’s been good,” Mr Jeffery said.
He said it was good for children to come and enjoy themselves while learning safety messages.
“All of the services have basically run out of our promotional gear,” he said.
“It’s nice to see some smiles on kids’ faces.”
