With three emphatic victories on the trot you simply can’t deny Centrals are on a roll, and Orange City skipper Craig Rogan didn’t try to.

In fact, he did the opposite leading into Saturday’s round 10 clash at Wade Park, labelling the red and blacks the biggest danger to his side continuing its stranglehold on the Orange District Cricket Association competition.
Rogan’s Warriors are 13 points clear on top and haven’t suffered defeat since round four, considering that this weekend’s clash is a juicy one by anyone’s standards, pitting the competition’s two in-form sides against one another.
“Centrals will want to keep their roll going and we obviously want to continue winning as well, I think it’ll be a really good little match-up,” Rogan said, before heaping praise on the red and blacks’ recent performances.
“Centrals are the main danger right now. They’ve got a lot of momentum and I think they’ve been the standout side batting-wise over the last few rounds, they’ve played a lot better than what the other sides have, including us.
“They’ve fought back really hard from their start to the season and good on them for that. They’ve rallied, and we can’t underestimate them.
“We shouldn’t, we were in their shoes last season after a terrible start to the year so we know what that type of side can do when they put it together.”

Although his side has been the competition’s most consistent this summer, Rogan said the Warriors are still yet to put together a complete performance.
Although they’ll be without regulars Lachie Coyte, Brett Causer, Nathan Rosser and Shaun Churchill this weekend, he said he’s confident that “all-round effort” can come at Wade Park.
Especially after taking down Cavaliers last week, the only side the Warriors hadn’t beaten.
“It was good to get that monkey off the back,” Rogan said.
“We always knew we were capable of beating them and we had only played them once, but it’s nice to put that to bed and not let Cavaliers become a bogey team, which certainly can happen.
“The guys who aren’t available are losses, all four of them, but the great thing about our club right now is that the guys coming in, Tommy Waters, Darren Barrett and Matt Findlay, have all played a lot of first grade over the years.
“I’m very confident they can come straight into the side and into the roles we need them to play, and perform.
“We actually only lost Noodle (Rosser) on [Friday] morning, but even without him we’ll have guys like Jackson Coote and Ed Morrish, guys who have proven they can score runs in this competition, batting at eight, nine and 10, which gives us a lot of depth.”
Saturday’s third 50-over round of the 2017-18 summer kicks off at 11am at Wade Park.
