One of the best finishers in rugby league history, Blacklock scored 100 tries in 114 games for the St George Illawarra club, representing NSW Country and Australia during an illustrious career in the NRL.
The flying winger, famous for his back-flipping during some of his post-try celebrations for the Dragons between 1999 and 2004, will be a special guest of Orange Hawks at Saturday’s Orange Picnic Races, appearing at the club’s season launch at Towac Park from 2pm onwards at the Group One room.
Racing in the Give Me 5 For Kids Picnic Races starts at Towac Park from 1.40pm, with gates opening for one of the largest social events Racing Orange will stage this year at 12pm – Racing Orange will run a courtesy bus to Towac Park from the Canobolas Hotel.
The final race will jump at 5pm.
Tickets to the Orange Hawks event at $100 up until Friday, with tickets $130 after that, with entry to the races, lunch and drinks included.
