Magistrate David Day sentenced Bruno Pasquarle Tavella, 27, of McLachlan Street for driving while his licence was disqualified on October 21 and December 9, 2017.
“[The] disqualification was to end at midnight on [December 9] you couldn’t wait that long?” Mr Day asked.
Tavella was given a 12-month driving disqualification and a 12-month good behaviour bond for driving in William Street on October 21.
He was given an identical sentence for driving while disqualified at 9.40am on the Mitchell Highway at Lucknow on December 9.
Mr Day warned that people can still be jailed driving while disqualified despite reduced penalties.
