A 23-year-old man has been charged with reckless wounding following an alleged glassing in Maxwell Avenue on Friday morning.

At about 6am, the man and his 25-year-old brother became involved in an altercation on the street.
During the fight, he struck the 25-year-old with a bottle, severely cutting his face.
Police attended and arrested the 23-year-old, taking him back to Orange Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding.
The 25-year-old was taken to Orange Health Service for surgery on his face, where he remains in a stable condition.
The 23-year-old was granted bail in Orange Local Court on Friday afternoon to live in Walgett.
