More than 1200 courses will be offered at TAFE venues across NSW this year.
The Orange centre will be available for information sesssions, workshops, live demonstrations and campus tours to show the facilities and courses available.
Staff will be on hand to offer career advice while graduates now working in their chosen field will also be available to chat to prospective students and their families.
TAFE NSW regional general manager Kate Baxter said TAFE courses provided crucial training to help people get a job.
“Students can study when, where and what they want and are supported by a talented community of career advisors, counsellors and teachers,” she said.
She said the state government provided subsidies for a range of courses which meant graduates were not left with huge debts.
“For those who can’t attend, signature events from around the state will be live-streamed to the TAFE Facebook page throughout the week,” she said.
There will also be extra activities and extended hours for TAFE Tuesday January 16 at some campuses.
At Orange that will include a virtual enterprise for business demonstration from 10.30-11.30am.
An information technology session will be held from 10.30am-12.30pm and 4pm-6pm while a Children’s Services information session is on from 10am-2pm.
Ms Baxter said the same week last year attracted 10,000 people to 1300 events.
She said about 26,000 people watched the online Facebook Live events.
