Wind gusts of up to 82 km/h at about 5pm claimed several trees.
But the major change was the temperature.
The heat had been steadily increasing all day, reaching 28.5 degrees by 4pm.
But from there, it plummeted, falling to 16.8 degrees by 5pm, not long after the rain started falling.
It also made for some amazing photos, as you can see in this gallery.
