JUST when it seemed shopping trolleys were finally being returned regularly to the stores they came from, the return to work after Christmas for many Orange residents revealed the opposite.
Employees and customers who park in the Mulberry Lane car park, behind the Hotel Canobolas, found themselves having to move trolleys on Monday so they could access spaces.
In all, 17 trolleys were left across three locations, belonging to Coles, Harris Farm and Big W.
To add to frustration, there is no longer any one place to report abandoned trolleys, instead each trolley owner must be contacted directly.
Perhaps returning to a single point of contact could be a better move.
