The see-saw that is Orange District Cricket Association’s second grade table continues following last weekend’s final round of 2017, with Orange City returning to the top of the standings just one week after being unseated by Cavaliers.

The Warriors did so thanks to a man-of-the-match effort from youngster Blake Weymouth, who almost single-handedly took down CYMS on Saturday.
To be fair, Centrals played a role too, handing Cavaliers their first defeat in five weeks.
Weymouth picked up his maiden senior five-wicket haul on Saturday, before top-scoring in the Warriors’ successful chase as well.
He picked up 5-24 from 7.2 overs, sparking a collapse in which the green and golds lost 7-43, they limped to 121.
Then, opening the batting, Weymouth punched out a game-high 41.
He added 52 for the first wicket with skipper Jamie Stedman (19) and another 59 for the second with Joey Kay (28).
Weymouth and Kay were both dismissed with the score on 111, but the greens cruised home with six wickets and eight overs in the bank.
Centrals’ win, which pushes the red and blacks up to second, was inspired by Roshan Eiseman and Ben Winslade.
Eiseman picked up 3-34 as Cavaliers, led by Luke Wilson’s unbeaten 75, posted 7-168.
Winslade top scored in the chase with 63, aided capably by Will Richard (39) and Matt Tedeschi (24 not out), as his side won by three wickets.
Kinross edged home over Waratahs on Saturday as well.
Max Powell (38) led the students to 9-145, and they restricted the sky blues to 7-142 in reply.
Dennis Cyriac was the star for Waratahs in third grade, the sky blues thumped Cavaliers.
Cyriac took 4-14 from his eight overs as the maroons were held to 9-120, before top scoring with 40 as Waratahs ran it down in just 27 overs.
Orange City secured a hard-fought win over CYMS in third grade as well.
Nick Da Silva snared 5-19 as CYMS fought to a somewhat meagre 9-114 from their 40 overs. It looked like 400 at one stage though, as Orange City slumped to 5-24 in reply.
Jeremy Bartier (59 not out) and Josh Cheney (21 not out) proved the saviours though, adding an unbeaten 55 for the eighth wicket to edge their side home.
Three-wicket hauls from Riley Wotton (3-8), Steve Blackwood (3-36) and Tom Wright (3-10) led CYMS to a win over Spring Hill in fourth grade.
The trio combined to skittle the Wood Ducks for 95, in reply to their side’s 8-145. Nick Murphy (41) was CYMS’ best with the bat.
