Pet owners can have a Christmas keepsake this weekend when both the RSPCA Orange shelter and Blossoms Rescue run Santa Paws photo shoots.

On Sunday the big jolly man in red will pose with people and their pets at the RSPCA shelter in William Street for the first time.

The day is already booked out but the RSPCA is still taking names and will host Santa Paws again next Sunday if there is enough interest.

Photos cost $10 for a 6x4 or $15 for an A4 photo with proceeds going back to RSPCA NSW. To book at the RSPCA phone 6362 6171.

Pet and Santa photos will also be taken at Blossoms Rescue at 192 March Street on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

It is the fourth year it’s held the Santa photo fundraising and all animals are welcome and children can join in.

Last year cats, dogs, guinea pigs  chickens, rabbits and a miniature horse were brought along with some pets and owners dressing in the Christmas theme.

The photos are $10 for the first 5x7 copy and $5 after that.
