The morning tea was held at their William Street offices and was followed by a barbecue.
National disability co-ordination officer Kris Lear said it was designed to build a sense of community.
“It’s basically just celebrating international day of people with disability, so [it’s] for anyone that wants to come in to be part of an inclusive community,” he said.
“Just enjoy a chance to talk, mingle, have a barbecue, morning tea, cut some cake.”
Mr Lear said it was also a chance for people to see what services are available within the local community.
Those include services to help students with disabilities transition to further education and disability employment services.
