An air ambulance has been called to the scene of a two-car crash on the Mitchell Highway with reports that people are trapped in their vehicles.
Drivers are being warned to avoid the area and use diversions in place.

Cars and light vehicles will need to use Millthorpe Road and Vittoria Road to avoid the accident, while heavy vehicles including trucks are to use the Mid-Western Highway to Blayney and then Millthorpe Road.

The Mitchell Highway was been closed in both directions following a car crash around 4.45pm near Cashens Lane near Vittoria.
It’s believed two cars are involved and that one car may have rolled over.
Emergency services are on their way, diversions have not been put in place yet and drivers are urged to exercise caution.
It’s the second accident on the Mitchell Highway in four days, after a serious crash between two cars south-east of Lucknow on Saturday.
A 19-year-old woman was airlifted to Westmead Hospital for surgery following that crash.
