However, gratitude is all one man had after accidentally leaving his keys in the car door.
Fortunately a parking inspector patrolling nearby happened to notice the keys sitting idly.
After calling police, the inspector wrote a note for the windscreen and took the keys for safe-keeping.
It wasn’t until the inspector was walking on another street that he saw a man patting down his pockets looking for something.
Having come from Sydney and realising the keys were gone, the visitor – overcome with emotion – gave our inspector a heartfelt hug.
